Groundwork is holding a free family fun day at Connah’s Quay Wetland nature reserve on Tuesday 3rd August between 10am and 2pm. The nature reserve can be found behind Morrison’s supermarket off The Parks Road.
The day is free and filled with great activities to stop children getting bored in the summer holidays. Activities include a scavenger hunt, face painting, bird quiz, making a wildlife mask and making bird feeders. This event is to promote the newly created nature reserve, and the day is completely free with lunch and drinks available. Access onto the wetlands nature reserve site has been made possible thanks to a grant from WAG and Tidy Towns managed by QuayCAT.
Activities will be run by fully trained CRB checked staff from Groundwork. All children attending must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring sun cream if necessary!
