Our work under the heading of Prosperity is about helping private companies and public bodies to improve their environmental and economic performance, creating training and employment opportunities and supporting community regeneration through green tourism and building economic capital.
The biggest area of work under Prosperity is our Environmental Business Services programme, delivered nationally with partners to promote environmental best practice, encourage the take up of environmental management systems and improve the environmental quality of individual business sites and wider industrial estates. Other Trust projects contribute to economic growth and regeneration through projects relating to tourism, sustainable energy, waste and recycling and the development of the social economy. These types of projects also provide meaningful training and employment opportunities to increase the skills and capacity of local people.
